Desert and Mountain Hiking in the Palm Springs Area. We look forward to a busy fall hiking schedule with a few summer hikes. Also, check out the Photo Section page. The club hosts monthly evening socials at local restaurants, as well as special events for members such as talks by plant and wildlife experts, wilderness safety instruction, and slide shows by hikers reportin.

On Flickr and is part of the photo album linked to below. Paul and I hiked the South Lykken Trail in 105 degree heat which made the starting 800 foot climb a lot more strenuous. By the time we were up, we had the might of the San Jacintos to provide shade and made our way north. Only one geocache was found on this hike.
